Firefighters from the Grafton Fire Department were first dispatched to a two-car crash on the Mass Pike early Saturday morning, then rerouted to 23 Pratt St. when fire alarms sounded. Upon arrival, crews found that a lightning strike in the backyard had created heavy smoke around the home’s electrical panel. The house at 23 Pratt St. sustained “significant damage,” while the neighboring dwelling saw only minor harm. Thankfully, there were no injuries, and an electrical inspector was called in to address safety concerns.
